Abstract and paper submission

All submitted abstracts and papers were peer reviewed by the scientific committee. The accepted papers must be presented at the conference and will be published in the ICAAR 2020-2022 Proceedings.

 The submission of abstracts is now closed.

 The 1st Book of Proceedings, containing the accepted papers of the first two calls, and the 2nd Book of Proceedings of ICAAR 2020-2022, containing the accepted papers of the third call, will be issued by LNEC and published on-line, at the conference website (http://icaar2020-2022.lnec.pt/), during the conference in 2022.

 The selection of articles for publication in journal special issues devoted to the 16th ICAAR is completed, the notification of the respective authors was carried out in 2021. There will be special issues from four different journals:

 Also note that one registration fee is valid for up to 2 papers. If you have 3 accepted papers than make sure that at least one of your co-authors will register to the conference to present the third paper.

To submit the Abstract and Paper, authors must create and access their personal area, using the EasyChair platform and then access the ICAAR 2020-2022 EasyChair site and "enter as an author".

The instructions described in the following Abstract and Paper templates explain how you should write your paper in order to submit it in digital format to the 16th International Conference on Alkali Aggregate Reaction in Concrete – ICAAR 2020-2022. It is important to respect these instructions in order to have your paper printed in the Conference proceedings.

Presenters at ICAAR 2020-2022 are required to use the Conference PowerPoint template:

Please note that presentations should not exceed 12 minutes, to allow for a 3 minutes question-and-answer period with the Chairpersons and the Audience.

English is the official language of the ICAAR 2020-2022, therefore all presentations must be prepared and delivered in English.

All speakers must submit their presentations in the Speakers’ Ready Room, at least 1 hour before the start of their session, in order to check their slides with the technical staff and upload the presentation onto the network. Speakers can upload their presentations at any time from the beginning of the conference, and do not need to wait until the day of presentation. Speakers in morning sessions are strongly advised to pre-load their presentation on the day before their session.
